The B.S. in Industrial Engineering Technology provides a foundation in a variety of areas including advanced manufacturing, automation, workplace design, operations management, quality assurance, and project management. The program has core courses as well as electives that allow a student to focus on a specific area or industry sector. Industrial Engineering Technology majors develop engineering skills through both experiential and classroom learning opportunities. Students benefit from applied faculty members with extensive industry experience, and project based courses taking place in the NJIT Makerspace Graduates from the Industrial Engineering Technology program can go into careers as a facility manager, sales and distribution engineer, manufacturing engineer, maintenance engineer, industrial engineer, automation engineer, quality engineer, and safety engineer. New Jersey Institute of Technology is located near Manhattan, in the middle of a large industrial area that offers excellent opportunities to highly qualified professionals.

The Industrial Engineering Technology program is a full four-year curriculum, which also provides an opportunity for transfer students with A.A.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering Technology to complete their baccalaureate degree. In the case of all students, both four-year and transfer, a minimum of 120 credits is required for graduation.
