The Presidential Scholarship was established to attract students who may not have the opportunity to further their associate's degree in applied science in their own state. Qualified candidates will receive a waiver of the fee normally assessed non-New Jersey residents, reducing tuition to that of a New Jersey resident.
Scholarship recipients are expected to maintain a grade point average of 3.0 (B) or better. Each student's academic record is reviewed annually at the conclusion of the spring semester.
Scholarship qualifications:
Completion of AAS degree before beginning studies at NJIT
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
US citizen or permanent resident status
There is no special application form required. Students must complete and submit an application for admission to NJIT, along with the non-refundable fee. All qualified applicants will be notified by mail. The application deadline is June 1 for the Fall semester and December 1 for the Spring semester.
